Our Vision

Community
at the Core

Orchard Brae Ltd’s Europark development is a vibrant landmark project in the central belt of Scotland. Its vision is to create a mixed-use development in the heart of Lanarkshire, close to the recently improved M8 corridor. It will make best use of the existing infrastructure, while complementing long-term investment in the adjacent Eurocentral and encouraging the regeneration of surrounding communities.

The plans for this exceptionally designed development have been evolving since 2016 and the most recent proposal reflects ongoing community feedback.

The masterplan includes housing (private, affordable and social), retail, leisure, new hotel and community facilities which will amount to one of the biggest and most dynamic projects of its kind to be proposed in Scotland.

The centrepiece of the proposed project, however, is a newly established Country and Heritage Park featuring the Monkland Canal and Calder Water, spanning more an impressive 66 per cent of the site.

All of these attributes, reflect the site’s strong inherent sustainability and the intent from the developers that it becomes an example of zero net carbon community development for others to follow.

In addition Orchard Brae will be providing new purpose built primary school facility, a forward-thinking mobility hub, upgraded transport plans and a state-of-the-art community football hub.

Revised Plans

Acting on community feedback

The overall masterplan for the development is taking an exciting step forward with amendments to the application submitted to North Lanarkshire Council in October 2021 – followed by a further four-week  period allowing members of the community to share their thoughts with North Lanarkshire Council.
